Uppers are constructed of a durable synthetic, and overlaid with supple triple-stitched suede in high-wear areas.

Two new technological innovations are present as well: SickStick and PopCush. SickStick is a proprietary gum rubber compound that offers increased grip and lasting durability, touted as the grippiest gum sole in Vans’ 50-plus year history.
